And saw a black poodle hopping around in the back seat...
and then realized a man was sitting in the back seat...
and that the poodle was hopping on him...
too rhythmically to be actually hopping...
and most likely it was not a poodle but a pony tail....

Oh my goodness, I would have doubled back, HA! Just to be sure it wasn't... something... horrifying? We get stuff like that in our local paper on occasion, sorry to say. Yikes!

OMG, I still remember a horrific visual from a few years ago while running, that I can't erase from my mind and it is similar to what you describe. From that day on, I vowed to never, ever look in a car while I was running past. Yech, sorry you had to see that! Shame on Marathon Man, Rick should know better!!!
