My Running Playlist. What's Yours?

This is my current running list.  Classic rock, Rock, Country, Alternative, Pop, Christian.  Absolutely, under no circumstances, will I listen to that Justin Beaver kid.  I'm definitely not into Rap, either.  Music affects my running pace.  I really don't listen to the words as much when I'm running as I do in other settings.  For all I know, some of these songs may be totally inappropriate.  (Do I sound motherly there?)  I choose songs based on how fast the beat is and I like it if they have a "pounding" feel to them.  The stronger the beat, the faster I go.  Maybe that's why I'm running faster -- I have a great playlist!  That's it!!  Ok.  Not.  But it is something to think about.  What about you?

Oh man, that Justin kid. I saw an article on Yahoo about how he was ridiculed in an interview that he was giving and I thought. "Uhhh...yea, what's your point?" I don't like his music.

I like the Black Eyed Peas, Lady GaGa, Prince, Maroon 5, and I love Lifehouse! I think you are probably the only other person that I know who knows who they are!

Come On Get Higher? Good song, but WOW when you listen to the words (I do, I have that one also). It's got a "pounding feel" alright, just sayin' :-)

I agree with you on music as pace motivator. I ran with no music all last year, until a friend gave me an iPod-wannabe for my birthday. Now I am totally up on musicians as personal trainers. Just posted today about KT Tunstall, in fact (new discovery for me). My other trainers include Peter Gabriel, Beastie Boys, Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Wonder, James, the B-52s, Young MC...

Haha. It's Justin Bieber, not Beaver. Same dif. I find it a little comical that they take this child and put him in all these grown up situations on his videos. And then everyone is like "Oh how cute." Weird.

I've been listening to Robert Ullrey's podcasts. Looking to make some changes though so I will definitely check out your list. Thanks for posting it!
