A 40-something determined to run like a 20-something.
Happily married to a wonderful man for 19+ years with 2 fabulous teenagers living in Dacula, GA and in Omaha, NE, 2 amazing twenty-something kids (from my hubs first marriage that I’m blessed to call mine), their spouses and 3 grandbabies. Ain’t life grand!
Like many women, I’ve steadily gained a few pounds over the last 10 years and I’d like to reverse the trend. Running has always been a favorite of mine so for the past 2 years I’ve attacked it like I do everything – full throttle – resulting in injury after injury after injury. But I am determined to run. I am a runner! How can I do anything else?
Over the past few years, I’ve dropped 30 pounds by eating better and running. I’d like to drop another 5 – 10 pounds if I can do it and still eat. I am a foodie as well as a runner. One needs balance after all.
When I’m not running, I’m studying, working, boating, and loving my family specifically and life in general.
